Day Ten

Image
The thing in the cage seems... restless. It isn't like the normal restlessness of an animal in cage. It's more like its trying to get somewhere. And I think I know where. The sewers. There's a legend in Blackstone Hills that there's something living  in the sewers. Usually it's a crazed pedo or an evil clown. I initially thought that it was just an urban legend. Like Bigfoot or Cropsey or England but I'm starting to believe in it. There's something  down there. Maybe more of these things. Or whatever made them. Maybe its a portal to another dimension. Or hell. Or god knows, maybe the crazed pedo made them. Whatever it is, I'm not going down there Without some supplies.

Day Nine

I caught the thing. After seeing the brutal scene that I had witnessed in Pam's, I decided to drive straight home. As soon as I drove up to the house I heard something. The sound of something banging around in a crate I realized what this meant I had caught it. Whatever it was I had caught it. I checked the traps and found it. It looks like a baby but... deformed. It has a very wide jaw filled with razor-sharp teeth. Also instead of skin it has flesh. It looks like it's made of hamburger meat. It's also very vicious. I gave it a Hot Pocket to eat and it tore it in half. I noticed something else during this. There's a sort of yellow slime that leaks from its mouth. It's like vomit but more... liquid. Anyways, it started to tear apart the cage so I had to use tranquilizers. I'm not sure why an office supply store like Spaples would carry tranquilizers but I've always suspected that that store wasn't made by humans. So yes, I'm not just going crazy

Day Eight

I decided to go to Pam's to get supplies. I certainly wasn't going to be able to survive long without some groceries. Upon arriving I noticed that something was odd. The store was in a wreck - shelves knocked over and there were torn over packages. The devastation appeared to be clustered around one area - the register. I decided to look back there. That was a mistake. Pam was there. Or at least, her body was. Something had torn her throat out. And there were marks like something had been eating  her. I threw up right next to her. I knew that I was probably disturbing a crime scene but I doubted that there was anyone that was going to investigate. Whatever is out there, I knew what it feeds on now. And it doesn't make me feel any safer.

Day Seven

Ok, so I'm at the edge of town. The good thing is that whatever disaster is affecting Blackstone Hills is stuck to Blackstone. The bad thing is that I'm stuck as well. There's an energy barrier around the edges of the town - like in that show where a town is stuck under a dome. I managed to drive into it. Thankfully I wasn't going very fast or else I would have totaled my car. There's still some damage though. I don't know if there are any car repair shops still open but I'm hoping that there are. I think that it covers the entire town. I haven't tested it though. I'm hoping that once this is all over I'll be able to get out of Blackstone and visit my mom. That seems like a very unlikely scenario for now.

Day Six

I'm starting to notice something. There are no stars in the sky. It's like someone rubbed them out of the sky. I'm pointing this out because I still haven't caught anything.  I've also noticed that Pam's is the only store with its lights on. I would think that someone else would be there but either Pam and I are the only people left or the other survivors don't own any businesses. Hopefully Probably the second one. I'm thinking of driving out of Blackstone to see if the entire state is deserted. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Anyways, I'm hoping that I catch that thing soon. And that it's the only one of its kind. I'm just waiting for the power to get shut off. So far I've been lucky but if I do lose power I may have to use the Journal full time.

Day Five

Image
There hasn't been that much interesting going on recently. After I woke up I did my usual routine and then checked the traps. Nothing. This leads to three possibilities One: I saw nothing at Pam's and I'm going insane. Two: Whatever's out there is smart and Three: I need more traps. Whatever it is, two out of the three possibilities can be solved by using more traps. I'll put some by Spaples and some other locations (like the abandoned slaughterhouse off by Jefferson Ave.) The next most notable thing is that I heard more growls coming from the drain when I took my shower. Anyways, there's not that much interesting right now. I can't even remember an interesting dream. All I remember is someone with a giant brain. I'm just waiting for the power to go out. This town is looking more and more like 28 Days. I'm just waiting for the zombies to show up. The streets look more and more abandoned every single day

Day Four

There isn't that much to report today. I put down the traps around Pam's and put a few around my house. I then spent the rest of the day studying the journal. It seems to have an infinite amount of pages. I spent a good two hours trying to flick to the end and only got more pages. It might just have really thin pages but I doubt that. Also using different colored pens or pencils makes the text the color of the words. This could be useful. WRITING LARGER MAKES THE TEXT LARGE . Same goes for small text And tilted text Also I can't tear pages out of the journal. It must have a really strong spine. Also drawing images in the journal makes them show up in the blog. It's really intriguing. I should probably try to find its owner but whoever they are probably made it for me. Either that or the journal just decided to link up with me. Anyways, it's getting late. I haven't had that much to eat - with most of my time being spent seeing what the journal can do. I've b...
